Mission context
In the Risk & Credits tribe, the risk cluster is in charge of the set-up of the risk data and calculation infrastructure.
Several initiatives are currently led by risk squads:
- Sarissa: the evolutions on the central risk calculator
- new versions of acquisition scoring + scope extensions
- new versions of automated decision models + scope extensions
- implementation of EAD & LGD models
- Guidelines on loan origination and monitoring
- Integration of BPost
- Basel III
The aim of the projects is to improve the Risk Infrastructure: further consolidate risk calculations in a single calculator in order to better enable model implementation, integration and to reduce costs through simplification and reuse.
The target architecture is implemented in Production since 2016. The goal of the current activities is to extend the functionality of the calculator in order to better support credit acquisition, credit risk monitoring & reporting and (regulatory) capital management within BNPP Fortis
Function description
The analyst is business analyst for Sarissa, an in-house calculator used to calculate risk measures. These measures are used during credit acquisition or for risk monitoring purposes.
The application provides access to the credit acquisition measures via web services or calculates the reporting measures in batch.
The application is developed using a 3rd party framework that supports database access, user authentication and authorisation, web form development, workflow, web services and batch development. Most development is limited to risk functionality as most technical functionality is provided by the platform.
The analyst will
- work with the product owner to fix all open defects
- translate end user requirements into business requirements
- work with the developers to ensure that deliverables are in line with user expectation; this includes code review and white box testing
- use SQL to determine various use cases
- use SQL during testing, checking all results over the full portfolio
- detail specific use cases and document expected behaviour
Language requirements
Dutch : Fluent/good in speaking & understanding, basic/good in writing
(required at least for either Dutch or French)
French : Fluent/good in speaking & understanding, basic/good in writing
(required at least for either Dutch or French)
English : Fluent in writing, good in speaking & understanding
Education
- Graduate or college (university) degree preferred
- We are looking for a candidate with good math skills
- comfortable with simple to medium complexity mathematical notation
- focus on mathematics in education or professional experience

Technical experience
