Business Continuity Manager

Our client is looking to fill in the role of a business continuity manager, whom will manage and provide hands-on support in the development of business recovery plans and BC related documents, leveraging existing efforts and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Partner with OT infrastructure and OT application area to develop, maintain, and implement the Business Continuity plans and recovery procedures;
• In conjunction with the emergency response team, develop emergency response procedures, distribute and update emergency procedures to reflect changes in organization and facilities;
• Assure and manage the effectiveness of recovery procedures and back-up capabilities and revise as necessary;
• Establish disaster recovery testing methodologies and plan, coordinate the testing of recovery support;
• Assure that recovery procedures are effective for the restoration of key corporate resources and for the resumption of critical business processes;
• Test the plans via table top exercises, simulation tests, and full interruption tests;
• Provides 7X24 on-call support for any emergency which may require activation of all or part of the Business Recovery or Disaster Recovery plans;
• Support the Risk Assessment process related to business continuity and recovery concerns and update risk assessments and business impact analyses accordingly;
• Create and maintain business impact assessment (BIA) and services via risk assessment;
• Protects the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the business recovery and disaster recovery plans;
• Facilitate business continuity exercises to test the effectiveness of business continuity plans and identify gaps. Test the plans via table top exercises, simulation tests, and full interruption tests;
• Develop project plans including, requirements, risks, schedule, testing.

Profile

• 5+ years of experience in disaster recovery and business recovery
• Domain expert in BCP/DR implementation
• Business Continuity Industry Certification(s) from DRII (CBCP/MBCP), BCM Institute, Business Continuity Institute, ISO22301, BCM Auditor
• Experience with emergency notification tools
• Providing ongoing Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery advice to engineering teams
• Technically strong with ability to quickly grasp complicated system architecture
• Strong human relations skills to interface with management and staff at all levels within the organization
