Context
Ou client is actively searching one data related profile to increase the capacity of its Data Management team: Data governance is a practice requiring both central activities (data strategy, vision, organisation, architecture, tooling, etc.) and decentralised business day-to-day activities (e.g. ownership and stewardship) as well as collaboration between the data actors (data producers, data consumers and data custodians).
The central activities are hosted by an appointed Corporate Data Management team. Ou client is searching for a Change Manager for the domain of Corporate Data Management with concrete experience in the Data Governance and Data Management principles.

The candidate will join the central Data Management team responsible for the follow-up and support of the Data Management principles within the company.
Objectives of the job
- Supporting the Head of Data Management who has overall responsibility for the Data Management function at company level:
- proposing a data strategy to the Management Committee
- being responsible for the Data Management Policy and its embedding in the company
- installing a robust data governance
- monitoring and reporting on data quality to the Management Committee
- defining the overall data architecture (with business lines and supporting units)
- creating data awareness fostering a data driven-culture
- seeking for data management activities efficiency
- Supporting the organisation to deploy the corporate Data Management principles based on existing Data Strategy and Data Policy. Acts as a trusted data advisor for business. Influences strategy, continuously improving data governance. Support the data governance in all or selected areas of data management: quality, catalogue, reference and master data, data standards, metadata, …
- Defining and following the roadmap of the governance deployment following the priorities defined by the central Data Corporate department.
- Providing training, developing training materials, providing interpretation consultancy.
- Guiding, supporting, and motivating the internal business departments in the Data management implementation.
Profile
- 3+ years of leadership experience operating, managing, and delivering results in a services/product organization – MUST HAVE
- Experience within Insurance or financial domain
- Experience on projects with different technology stacks integration aspects
- Fluent in French or Dutch. Listening and written comprehension of the two other languages (French/English or Dutch/English)
