Description
To support the ongoing evolution of our client’s IT landscape, we are seeking an experienced Data Integration Engineer / Integration Layer Developer. You will be embedded within a business-led Data Product team and play a pivotal role in designing and implementing robust data integration solutions.
Role & responsibilities
- Design and implement the physical model of a coherent data model.
- Analyze, design, develop, and test a transversal integration layer.
- Ensure alignment between business/technical architecture and client requirements (functional and non-functional).
- Apply best practices in integration layer concepts and architecture.
- Collaborate with IT teams, external partners, and business stakeholders to plan integration project phases.
- Contribute to performance and reliability through continuous build and testing platforms.
- Support the competency leader in developing the maturity of the data integration engineering practice.
- Provide technical expertise and infrastructure knowledge (e.g., queue manager, distributed cache, audit, monitoring).
- Help establish efficient and dynamic documentation practices.
- Provide second- and third-line production support.
Profile
- Solid theoretical and practical knowledge of distributed architecture patterns (synchronous & asynchronous).
- Minimum 3 years of experience with:
- .NET/Microsoft platform
- Integration frameworks
- Scheduler frameworks
- Audit and trace frameworks
- Monitoring tools
- Proficiency in Web Services (REST, SOAP), XML, Flat Files, GraphQL, and messaging/streaming-based communication.
- Experience with distributed cache patterns and messaging/event streaming solutions.
- Proven track record in developing data integration layers.
- Familiarity with automated unit and integration testing, and continuous integration development.
- Experience working in a data-centric, product-oriented organization.
- Ability to assist in tool administration (Windows and Unix environments).
- Fluent in English (supplier and procurement documentation and meetings are conducted in English).
- Agile mindset with a focus on performance, maintainability, and non-functional requirements.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Solution-oriented, proactive, and capable of working independently or in cross-functional, self-organizing teams.
