Context
Energized to take on a project with a key player in the Belgian energy landscape!
The Belgian and European energy landscape is in full transformation, and our client plays a crucial role in this. As part of a European transmission system operator, our client ensures the reliability and sustainability of electricity supply in Belgium.
With us, you will work alongside other Contingent Workers and our client’s employees to build a sustainable, green, and reliable energy infrastructure that stimulates economic growth and reduces our ecological footprint.
Together, we strive for maximum impact! We believe in the power of diversity: we are convinced that an inclusive and diverse work environment leads to more innovation, creativity, and better results.
Data plays a key role in supporting these developments: increasingly, data is an enabler for decision-making processes (operational, tactical, strategic). However, we are facing several data-related challenges, and our client aims to focus on:
- Establishing data domains. All of our client’s data is assigned to a domain, with an owner designated for each domain. The owner is then accountable for the data in their domain. They are supported by the data steward, who is responsible for monitoring data quality, etc.
- The shift from IT-led data products to business-led data products. The responsibility for delivering high-quality, timely data products lies with the business. The development of these data products is carried out by multidisciplinary (business and IT) teams, which also include the data steward.
- Extensive training and coaching, including for the data stewards, to facilitate and support the transition.
- Governance of all these aspects is essential and will also be established (including for data stewards).
It is clear that the Data Steward plays a crucial role in our client’s data-driven ambitions!
