Context
Our client, a leading utility company, is seeking a Functional Analyst to join their Digital Business Solutions (DBS) department. This department is essential in supporting the client’s business activities by ensuring smooth operations and growth through autonomous, adaptable IT solutions that evolve with the company’s needs and technology advancements.
Within the DBS structure, the « IT Service Management, Transition & ERP » unit is dedicated to supporting critical functions such as HR, Finance, Purchasing, Logistics, and Communication. The ERP team, part of this unit, is composed of project managers, functional analysts, and developers who collaborate closely to improve internal processes and enhance the user experience for the client’s departments.
Key responsibilities
As a Functional Analyst, you will play a key role in optimizing and supporting the client’s ERP applications. Reporting directly to the ERP Team Manager, your main responsibilities will include:
- Analyzing and Estimating Changes: Assess change requests, estimate workload and costs, and evaluate multiple solution options.
- Impact Analysis: Determine the effect of changes on existing systems to ensure service continuity and solution maintainability.
- Configuration and Coordination: Implement necessary configurations or work with developers and external providers as needed based on defined specifications.
- Documentation and Testing: Maintain up-to-date reference documentation, develop test plans, oversee testing processes, control quality, and ensure smooth deployment of new functionalities.
- Incident and Problem Resolution: Monitor, track, and resolve incidents and problems to ensure seamless service delivery.
Profile
- Education: Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in functional analysis, with experience in application configuration & maintenance, low-code platforms, and Jira. (MUST HAVE)
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with interface middleware and experience in ERP or similar systems.
- Language Skills: Fluent in either Dutch or French with a working knowledge of the other language.
- Key Competencies: Organized and meticulous, with strong analytical and synthesis abilities, customer-oriented approach, and results-driven mindset.
- Soft Skills: Excellent listening, writing, and communication skills, along with flexibility and adaptability in service delivery.
- Bonus: Knowledge of the energy sector is an asset.
