Context
Our client active in the insurance sector, department IS Employee Benefits & Health Care, is continuously working at the evolution of its existing back- and front- office applications. In the coming months, there is an increasing of projects to be realized.
Within the Classics team you will have the opportunity to work together with the other experts on the VeLo application (Management of Group Insurance and Health Care). The VeLo application can be considered as a very strong asset within our client Employee Benefits.
Due to the evolution of the market, legislation and interest rates, there are always new challenges within
the Classics team to further develop or adapt the VeLo application.
Since the applications within Employee Benefits are interconnected, their projects have a strong transversal character, which ensures the classics team strongly involved in other developments within the
division.
For these very challenging and innovative projects, they are actively searching an Application Development Functional Designer/Analyst.
Role & responsibilities
- Collaborate with IT colleagues (architects, developers, testers,…) and also with internal customers to bring projects to a good end.
- Analyze business requirements and maps out possible IT solutions which respect architectural deliverables.
- Elaborate adequate and qualitative (data) models and/or functional analysis in order to deliver new functionalities or new applications.
- Ensure the technical/functional requirements are understood and validated by the different stakeholders.
- Follow and support development and testing activities.
- Analyze issues and defects during the development and testing phases and propose solutions.
- Prepare and maintain the necessary documentation.
Profile
- Experience as Functional Analysis (2-5 years)
- Building and construction design and follow up
- Interest for Business Process Analyses
- Setting new business requirements and milestones
- Knowledge of Group Insurance
- Excellent knowledge of MS-office Tools
- Understanding of relevant technologies and development life cycles
- Client Server Environment (MF)
- Cobol, DB2
- Good experience with functional design
- Been able to communicate the functional design to the technical designers and follow up the technical design
- Be responsible for the quality of the functional and the related technical design (Testing)
