Context
The Digital Business Solutions (DBS) department supports the client’s business activities by delivering robust and evolving information systems. Within this department, the IT Production unit is responsible for:
- Driving the transformation of IT and OT infrastructure solutions.
- Managing operations and ensuring the reliability of infrastructure and workplace services.
The IT Projects team, specifically, leads transformational initiatives focused on securing and advancing the client’s IT and OT infrastructures to align with best practices and emerging technologies.
Mission description
As a System Designer in the Infrastructure Projects team, you will leverage your proven technical expertise and experience in IT and OT infrastructure to contribute to the transformation and operation of critical systems for our client, a leading utility provider in the energy and water sectors.
Responsibilities
Project Context:
- Collaborate with the infrastructure architect, fellow system designers, system engineers, and security officers to define robust infrastructure designs.
- Ensure alignment with industry standards, particularly for virtualization (VMware ESXi) and virtual networking (NSXT).
- Incorporate modeling frameworks such as TOGAF, Archimate, UML, or Sparx EA to develop scalable and secure infrastructure solutions.
Operational Context:
- Provide support to system engineers during incident resolution and assist with root-cause analysis to enhance system reliability.
- Propose and implement evolutionary changes to improve existing infrastructure systems, ensuring they meet future needs and remain compliant with security and performance standards.
Profile
- Technical Skills:
- Proven experience with virtual networking (NSXT) and virtualization (VMware ESXi).
- Expertise in modeling methodologies such as TOGAF, Archimate, UML, or Sparx EA.
- A strong background in managing IT infrastructure projects and OT infrastructure projects, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior role.
- Sector-Specific Experience:
- Proven experience in the Utility sector (energy, water, etc.).
- Language Requirements:
- Fluency in French or Dutch, with a solid understanding of the other language.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
