Context
As an innovation portfolio manager, the contingent worker will be responsible for overseeing, gathering, and exposing all decentralized innovation activities across the company. The candidate will work with a broad range of stakeholders to identify, collect, and present all innovation projects and activities in a clear and transparent way. The candidate is expected to show insights and recommendations for future improvements.
Next to that, the contingent worker will have support communicating and promoting the innovation portfolio externally, and you will support the dedicated Innovation PMO. Finally, a small part of his/her task will be to deal with national and European funding opportunities, by matching potential projects with existing subsidy calls.
The contingent worker will be a member of the Innovation team, with strong links to the strategy department.
Responsibilities
- Identify and map the innovation activities across the group
- Maintain a comprehensive database, present it in a visually attractive way
- Report and draw analytics of the portfolio, monitor the impact
- Present contents to main stakeholders, communicate and promote internally and externally
- Support overall internal and external communication of the Innovation team, support in setting up internal events
- Find and match funding needs with existing subsidy calls
Profile
- Project portfolio management, portfolio visualization (Min. 3-4 years)
- Ability to see the big picture, align innovation activities with the company’s strategic goals, and plan effectively for short and long-term objectives
- Data-driven insights and analytics to evaluate and report on the portfolio
- Communication and presentation: effective internal and external communication. This includes the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively.
- Skills in managing change, as innovation often involves changing processes, mindsets, and company culture.
- Interpersonal skills, experience in working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, and building strong relationships with a broad range of stakeholders, from team members to senior executives
- English at a professional level
