Description
The IT Energy Market and Real-Time Applications & Projects Department is responsible for deploying and maintaining IT tools that support operational processes. These include real-time supervision and control systems (EMS/SCADA), tools ensuring security of supply, platforms for energy market transactions, and data exchange systems with market participants.
This role is part of a broader digitalisation strategy and involves collaboration with both the German entity 50Hertz and other internal stakeholders. The IT Project Manager will lead the end-to-end implementation of IT projects within this department.
Role & responsibilities
As IT Project Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing IT projects from initiation to completion, including planning, scope, budget, timeline, risk and issue management, reporting, and documentation.
- Collaborating with business stakeholders to define priorities within your project portfolio.
- Coordinating with related IT projects to manage dependencies and leverage synergies.
- Validating business requirements and translating them into functional and technical specifications (especially for Microsoft-based technologies such as .NET).
- Leading internal and/or external development teams in collaboration with the .NET technical lead.
- Defining and overseeing testing and quality assurance strategies.
- Managing software releases and providing second-line user support.
- Organising and prioritising maintenance activities for developed solutions.
Profile
- Holds a university degree in IT and/or electrical engineering.
- Has several years of relevant experience as an IT Project Manager, Business Analyst, Functional Analyst, or Product Owner.
- Has experience with Agile Scrum and/or Lean methodologies (a plus).
- Is familiar with Microsoft technologies (.NET, Visual Studio, SQL Server).
- Can communicate effectively with technical teams and developers.
- Has knowledge of the electricity and/or energy sector (an asset).
- Stays up to date with IT trends and has experience in digitalisation (a plus).
- Is analytical, well-organised, and customer-oriented.
- Is a strong communicator and team player.
- Is fluent in English, with a good command of Dutch and/or French.
