IT Solution Architect Life & Finances -> Too late, recruitment closed

Purpose of the function

• As IT Solution Architect you are responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive technology solutions that address specific business needs.
• You serve as a liaison between technical and business aspects to ensure solutions meet organizational goals.
• With a deep understanding of various technologies, you work closely with stakeholders, developers, functional analysts, business analysts and other IT professionals to create a cohesive and efficient system that meets the needs of the business.
• You will take part in the architects community led by Enterprise Architect to set up the architect principles, guardrails and building blocks for use by all architects.
• With other architects you will take part to Architect Review Board (ARB).
• You will work parttime for the TD Change Life (the buid team for Life Insurance Applications) and parttime for the TD Change Finances (the buid team for Finances Applications).

Key responsibilities

• Design and document the overall architecture of technology solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and requirements and architecture principles, resulting in correct TOGAF-based IT Solution Architecture repository
• Collaborate with stakeholders, such as business analysts, project managers, business stakeholders and end-users, to understand their needs and gather requirements for the technology solution.
• Assess various technologies and platforms to determine the most suitable options for the solution, considering factors such as cost, performance, and compatibility.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to development teams, helping them implement the solution effectively and troubleshoot any issues.
• Must ensure that the technology solution meets the necessary performance, scalability, and security standards, addressing any potential risks or vulnerabilities.
• Responsible for identifying potential risks and issues related to the solution and taking appropriate steps to mitigate them, ensuring the project’s success.
• Seek actively opportunities for improvement and contribute to the ongoing development and refinement of the technology solution, keeping up-to-date with industry trends and best
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with various teams, such as developers, project managers, business stakeholders on different levels and business analysts, ensuring a cohesive approach to the project.

• Enterprise Architect and others IT architects to implement architectural principles, guidelines and for validation of architectural deliverables.

• Work intensively with application & infrastructure teams and TD’s IT Infrastructure & Application Architects colleagues to help them implement a product -centric Future Proof IT Solution, leveraging existing components
• Case-driven collaboration with various business stakeholders on different levels to solve technology challenges.
• You are stress-resistant.
• You have at least 5 years of relevant professional experience as IT solution Architect
• You have proven relevant experience in the Insurance Industry and more specific in the Insurance Life Domain
• You have professional experience of Archimate modellling language.
• You demonstrate strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills, using the latest trends in technology, including AI, big data, cloud computing, integration solutions (ESB/API Portal/…..)
• You are able to deal with ambiguities and be able to work with incomplete information and get things done in a rapidly changing environment.
• 5-8 years of experience in Technology Business Analysis and/or Process Improvement.
• Masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT.
• Strong experience in TOGAF, Sparx & Archimate knowlegde.
• Strong analytical skills and able to produce clear and concise documentation.
• Outstanding communication skills.
