Context

Our client is seeking a Life Insurance Business Analyst within the Life Insurance division to join the « BUSINESS CHANGE & MONITORING » team to support the portfolio migration project. 

This team of 10 people specialized in individual and collective life insurance consists of 3 types of functions: Actuaries, Business Analysts, and testers.

Responsibilities

Based on your profile, the project scope will involve legal developments and growth projects.

  •  Analysis
    •   Define associated requirements and formalize them according to defined quality standards.
    •   Identify the process impacts of the migration of individual life insurance policies.
    •   Ensure understanding between the business and IT.
  • Testing
    •   Prepare and execute process and calculation tests.
  • Monitoring
    •   Act as an intermediary between business and IT teams.
    •   Provide regular reporting on the progress of your activities.

Profile

  • Knowledge of life insurance (products and processes), branch 23 and/or investment.
  • Proven successful experience as a Business Analyst.
  • Strong commitment to project quality and deadlines. A « can-do » attitude and flexibility.
  • Autonomous and proactive in finding solutions to obtain necessary information.
  • University degree in mathematics (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the life insurance sector.
  • Familiar with at least one standard business/process analysis methodology.
  • Proficient in French and English; knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
  • Structured, organized (good priority management), and pragmatic.
  • Strong adaptability and learning ability.
  • Detail-oriented while capable of finding the effective level of abstraction based on context.
  • Effective communication with all audiences (actuaries, IT experts, management, etc.).
  • Client and results-oriented.

  • How do you approach defining and formalizing business requirements for a new project? Can you provide an example of a project where your requirements gathering led to a successful outcome?
  • Do you have experience with UAT (User Acceptance Testing) ? (Yes/No)
  • Describe your experience with User Acceptance Testing (UAT). How do you ensure that the tests you design and execute meet the project’s quality standards?
