Mission description

The CDO Office team focusses on strategic and transversal activities relevant for the entire IT department such as IT Strategy, IT Financial steering, IT Architecture, Information Security an IT Service Management. The team reports directly to the CDO (Chief Digital/IT Officer), and is partially located in Germany, Berlin and partially in Brussels, Belgium.
Our client is seeking temporary support with setting up an improved portfolio management process within the IT department. Main goal is to have more transparency on the ongoing initiatives and activities so we can more efficiently prioritize.
This mission offers the opportunity to learn about the existing project portfolio management processes, and how to improve said processes within the context of a larger international company. 

Service description

  • Gather and consolidate list of ongoing IT projects and initiatives
  • Create and validate a process for prioritizing and tracking of the identified initiatives based on the best practices
  • Lead the first iteration of the new prioritization process for initiatives and identify improvement points
  • Consolidate all prioritized initiatives into one roadmap
  • Verify feasibility of the roadmap from a budget and people perspective


  • Functional Competencies
    • Specific prior experience with setting up a portfolio management process is required
    • A proven knowledge of (IT) portfolio and project methodology or experience in a similar position
  • Technical competencies
    • Fluency in working with MS Office: Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook and MS Teams
    • Able to pick up new tools quickly and efficiently
  • Languages
    • Active command of English (oral, written)
    • Passive knowledge of the second national language (is able to follow a conversation)
