The “Project Buyer” is member of the Project Procurement department whose mission is to “Maximize Supplier value for Business benefits” : Buying better through optimized specifications, standardized requirements, common cost analysis and cooperation, buying cheaper through “massification”, relevant supplier sourcing, competition and negotiation and buying less through needs rationalization, make or buy studies and change of usage/consumption habits.


  • In charge of the procurement of projects and services including contract’s follow up in their technical, legal and administrative aspects.
  • Produce draft contracts / clauses.
  • Prepare the sourcing strategies for each contract of a project in cooperation with the
    project team.
  • Establish supplier selection criteria, lead competitive process, negotiate and drive final
    supplier selections in partnership with Engineering and Project Management .
  • Conduct clarification with tenderers, tenders evaluation according to the sourcing
    strategy and establish a shortlist of tenderers selected for negotiation in cooperation
    with the project team.
  • Conduct commercial negotiation with tenderers in cooperation with the project team
    and provide contract award recommendation.
  • In charge of contract and claim management, covering the following aspects:
    • Manage Claim
    • Warranties
    • Performance Bonds
    • Variation Orders


  • Minimum 5-7 years Procurement Experience within a similar industry sector and in
    procurement, with significant experience in the Category
  • Experience in animation and communication in a transverse, geographical & multi-
    cultural environment
  • Ability to streamline activities, improve processes and manage change
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills and strong leadership skills and team
    management experience
  • Fluent in Dutch / French, and English. German is a plus.
  • Good knowledge of Office 365
  • Knowledge of e-sourcing tools
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Pragmatic in problem solving.
  • Agility in a dynamic environment.
  • Good communications verbal/oral and written skills.
