Mission overview
The IT department of our client is looking for a highly qualified Senior Portfolio Manager (Expert level) to reinforce its existing PMO team composed of two members. The role involves structuring, managing, and optimizing IT investments, projects, and services to align with business strategy and financial planning.
Scope of work
The mission will focus on 2key areas:
- « Run » Activities – Structured in services to ensure ongoing operational efficiency.
- « Initiatives » – Structured in demands & projects, managing dependencies and strategic alignment.
Key focus areas include:
- Financial Budget Planning & Control: Multi-year financial planning and cost optimization.
- Strategic Planning: Development of a multi-year IT roadmap.
- IT Service Management: Structuring IT service offerings to align with business needs.
- Project & Portfolio Management: Managing projects, initiatives, and dependencies using ServiceNow SPM.
The IT department operates across 6 business domains:
- Customer Experience
- Human Resources
- Finance
- Transport Systems
- Corporate Functions
- Operations
Delivrables & responsibilities
- Budget Management – Structure and manage IT costs for better financial visibility and optimization.
- Project Portfolio Management – Implement and maintain structured project portfolio management.
- Service Portfolio Management – Define and manage the IT services provided to internal stakeholders.
- Strategic Roadmap – Develop and oversee the long-term IT investment and project roadmap.
- Governance & Methodology – Ensure adherence to portfolio and project management best practices.
Team structure
A federated model, with:
- 3 centrally located PMO members
- 5 PMO members embedded in each business unit
Lead and animate a PMO Guild of 8 members, expanding collaboration with ~15 IT Project Managers.Report directly to the Head of CIO Office.
