Context
Our client is seeking a UAT Business Tester within the Insurance division to join the « BUSINESS CHANGE & MONITORING » team to support the portfolio migration project. This team of 10 people specialized in individual and collective life insurance consists of 3 types of functions: Actuaries, Business Analysts, and testers.
Responsibilities
In the context of business roadmaps (life insurance), both regulatory and commercial, a portfolio of projects will need to be tested in parallel during a UAT phase.
To ensure the quality of projects delivered in UAT:
- Test Design & Execution
- Preparation of Tests:
- Prepare test plans and test cases pragmatically.
- Have test cases validated by business analysts and end users.
- Document business processes if not available to allow execution by another resource.
- Execution of Tests:
- Execute test cases (mainframe, frontend, data) and report results to be validated by end users.
- In case of incident, facilitate root cause analysis for IT.
- Preparation of Tests:
- Test Monitoring
- Defect Management:
- Track defects and prioritize incidents.
- Provide weekly mini-reporting on testing execution.
- End Solution Validation with End Users:
- Ensure the documentation of processes by the testing team and structure it.
- Build trust with end users regarding test results and enable their validation.
- Ensure effective collaboration with numerous stakeholders (IT, Operations, Business, Distribution, etc.) and develop a trustful relationship with your clients and suppliers.
- Defect Management:
Profile
- Fluent in French and English (offshore developments).
- Good knowledge of life insurance.
- Proven successful experience as a process tester.
- Ability to be physically present in Athora’s offices several days per week.
- Empathy for the end user and ability to understand their realities.
- Strong commitment to project quality and deadlines, with a « can-do » attitude and flexibility.
- Dynamic, autonomous, and proactive in finding solutions.
- University degree.
- At least 1 year of experience in the life insurance sector.
- Familiar with at least one testing methodology (e.g., ISTQB).
- Proficient in testing reporting.
- Structured, organized (good priority management), and pragmatic.
- Strong adaptability and learning capacity.
- Focus on accurate results while being aware of the impact of incidents.
- Effective communication with all audiences (actuaries, IT experts, management, etc.).
- Client and results-oriented.
